Based in Colorado, the Colorado Fiscal Institute is a 501c3 non-profit that provides credible, independent and accessible information and analysis of fiscal and economic issues facing Colorado, and advocates for equity and widespread prosperity for Coloradans. Our aim is to inform and influence policy debates and contribute to sound decisions that improve the well-being of individuals, communities, and the state as a whole in an equitable way.
Our Mission
Through high-quality research, strategic communications, and statewide education and advocacy, the Colorado Fiscal Institute addresses one of the most pressing issues of our time: how to promote widespread prosperity. CFI uniquely focuses on the fiscal and economic implications of policy affecting working families, as well as how public resources are allocated to meet public needs. Too often, what things cost and how they will be paid for are secondary considerations. At CFI, who pays for services, the methods used to raise revenue, the economic impact of public investments, and the role of public services on the environment, economy, communities, and individuals are our top priorities.
